AI will fundamentally rewire semiconductor design automation. EDA will evolve from fragmented toolchains operated by experts in large teams, into a design system that AI can evolve.. optimizing both the chip's design and the way it is implemented. This new paradigm will help teams create more advanced chips in less time and at lower cost.

Our mission

Our mission is to build the design-adaptive EDA required for this shift. OpenEDA provides the inspectable, modifiable foundation that lets AI treat implementation methods and tools as part of the design space.

Who we are

We are researchers and engineers in chip architecture, physical design, EDA, verification, compilers, machine learning, and optimization. Team members have contributed to more than a dozen successful tapeouts and to research and engineering across the full OpenEDA stack, including CIRCT, Yosys, OpenROAD, and KLayout.
